Club for light aircrafts "Delta Club" - Prilep
Club for light aircraft, "Delta Club" - Prilep is formed on December 25,
1992 and is the oldest club of its kind in Macedonia. Initially developed more discipline
hanggliding, while the 1994 reversal is done. Paragliding with major steps starts to grow
becoming a major discipline in the Delta club today. Today is included in flight operations
with paragliders, paramotors and hanggliding. Development begins precisely after the
procurement of better paragliders that time (Nova-Fantom, Paratech-P3, Sky paragliders-Hawk).
At the beginning number of members in Delta Club was a 5-6, operated only with few aircraft:
3 hanggliders and 2 paraglajders (Superfix, Bullet, New wave i Firebird-F1). Today the number
of members is 65, and the number of aircraft is 51 paragliders. The club consists of members
from several cities in Macedonia: Prilep, Bitola, Kicevo, Stip, Kocani, Skopje.
Members of the Delta club in the history of the club turned attention to the discovery and editing
of new starts. Most starts are used "Meckin Kamen" Krusevo (east and west side), Galičica Ohrid,
Sliva, Ribnik and others. We have places for all kinds of flying: training, аccuracy landing,
cross country, tandem flying, paramotors, powered hang glidres, acro, safety courses over water, etc.
Since 1993 the club regularly participates and organizes national and international competitions
and that the two disciplines: Paragliding Accuracy landing and Cross Country. Until today Delta Club was
the organizer of many international competitions, national competitions and league matches in
paragliding, and as most massive and most successful was a 2008 year which were organized:
FAI-PARAGLIDING ACCURACY WORLD CUP - Krusevo 2008, 1st SLAVONIAN CUP - Krusevo 2008, NORDIC
OPEN 2008 - Krusevo 2008 and PARAGLIDING SAFETY COURSE - Ohrid 2008.
